The Package The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, based at the charity's HQ, The Squire Centre, 33-37 University Street, London WC1E 6JN. The salary is on Changing Faces' salary Grade F grade ? starting #23,300 per annum.
The employment will be based on: normal hours of work (37 hours basic) based in London, 25 days' holiday, a pension contribution for those who have completed a probationary period satisfactorily, and standard sickness and absence conditions. The appointment will be subject to a one-month probationary period.

The research they do covers all types of road users: drivers, motorcyclists, pedestrians, cyclists, children and disabled people and aims to understand what can be done to influence road user behaviour.
TRL offers practical advice to both government and private sector clients based on rigorous research. Their areas of research include behavioural change, driver training and testing, road safety education and evaluation of road safety interventions.
The Applicant Degree in Psychology and a sound understanding of research design and statistics.
You should be able to write concise, client-focused technical reports, and present findings to senior stakeholders, demonstrating how they can be applied to the real world environment. We can reduce crop losses by collecting and sharing vital information about plant health. With the right knowledge we can identify plant health problems, slow down the spread of plant pests and diseases and provide the correct treatments before yields are significantly affected. Plantwise will make this knowledge accessible to those who need it.
Plantwise will deliver knowledge in two ways - face-to-face via a network of plant clinics in the developing world to help the poorest farmers and internationally via a comprehensive global knowledge bank.
CABI is offering an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of this initiative. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and highly organised biology graduate with an interest in plant pests and diseases to fill a position supporting the Plantwise Knowledge Bank team.
Activities will be tailored to the skills and interests of the successful applicant. Potential activities include: augmenting the images used on the website; locating sources of relevant plant pest and disease factsheets; collating and analysing plant clinic data; locating potential providers of region-specific content for priority Plantwise countries; blogging; assisting with the development of marketing materials; quality monitoring of work carried out by outsourcing companies; testing knowledge bank content and usability and working closely with other CABI teams to make developments.

Full Body Diffusion Weighted Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Swansea University?s College of Medicine invites applications for a fully-funded PhD studentship in Medical Physics.Project Information: The Graduate Entry Medical School at Swansea University has been established for almost 10 years. The second, purpose-built, Medical School building was opened recently and includes an imaging centre comprising of a 3.0T MRI scanner and a CT scanner. A research group is being established at the imaging centre, managed jointly by staff based at the University and in the NHS.
Funding is currently available for a PhD at the imaging centre within the Institute of Life Science at the Medical School. The PhD project involves the development and optimization of quantitative full body diffusion weighted MRI methods, to create Maximum Intensity Projection maps for the assessment of whole body scans. The new methodology will be applied and evaluated in clinical studies with healthy controls and cancer patients. In addition, the MRI technology will be improved to provide a clinically acceptable measurement and analysis method that is both repeatable and reproducible. Comparisons of physiological image quality will be sought by using data acquired from the All Wales PET/CT centre for cancer patients.
The Applicant Applicants are required to hold a degree in physics, engineering, computer science or an area related to medical imaging, medical physics, or image processing.
Programming skills in C++ and MATLAB are desirable and knowledge of MRI and PET imaging helpful.
The successful applicant will be part of a longstanding cooperation between the College of Medicine at Swansea University and Medical Physics Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board.
